Spark Studio
​(Ages 4-7 | Pre-K 4 to 1st grade)

Why We Founded Masterpiece: An Acton Academy

Once upon a time, a young mom was teaching as a professor at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Teaching had always been her greatest passion, and she was searching for innovative ways to engage her learners.

One day, she discovered Acton Academy, a school where character, curiosity, and real-world skills matter more than tests. Inspired by its bold and learner-driven approach, she experimented with Acton methods in her own college classroom and witnessed a transformation. That's when she realized, "I want this not just for my learners, but also for my children."

She answered the call and left her career to open a school of her own—one built on purpose, wonder, and deep learning—for her children and for families in her community.
